That single algorithmic glitch stripped away my baseline operational income stream overnight.

To survive the fallout, I initially turned to GoFundMe. It was a dead end. I found myself trapped behind a sterile interface—blocked from communicating with my supporters directly, restricted by rigid update tools, and forced to pitch my situation as a sob story just to fit their template. It made creating content around the fundraiser feel awkward, performative, and entirely disconnected from the reality of running a professional media operation.
